Freezing when taking a video on an X

My X freezes when I take a video. A message screen comes up but as you can see in the screen shot it is blank. It can then take up to 30 seconds before the camera is usable again.

Any suggestions?

@Colinsmith18 can you switch to the default theme and see if the message says anything? the custom theme you use might have made the pop-up unreadable.
