Hi,
I use the Xperia Companion application to transfer music from my PC to my mobile.
The application is copying the music to my SDcard (which is what I want) but I can't find a setting either in the Companion app or on the phone where the default music location is configured.
Is there a setting for the default music folder?
Many thanks,
Sean
Hi @bonzospb,
I'm afraid there is no setting for this. When you transfer music using the function in Xperia Companion it will always copy the files to your phones internal storage.
You can move the files to your SD-card ones on the internal storage by going to: Settings > Storage & memory > Transfer data. Make sure you check the box for Music.
Let me know if there is anything else you are wondering about!
Hi,
The music is being transferred to the SDcard - not internal storage. This is what I want but the question is why does the phone doing this by default? Where is the setting?
Many thanks,
Sean
There is no setting for this in Xperia Companion. When it copies music files to your phone it will copy them to the internal storage, this cannot be changed. When the files are on the internal storage you can move them to the SD-card.
Let me know if any of this is unclear!:smileyhappy:
Hi, this app is not so good, unfortunately we do not have a better one, Sony wont help us, they could easily make the xperia come up as a drive on the Mac
I have a solution for you, on xperia companion choose browse xperia, copy and past all music you want into that, choose the SD or Internal.
This is really not good enough.
I have a phone with 4GB storage available. I want to transfer 9.4GB of music directly from my computer to an SD card in the phone that has 30GB available. The fact that there is no way to send files directly to the SD card is just ridiculous.
I know I'm not the only one having this problem and yet there seems to be no appetite from Sony to fix this glaring shortfall in their software.
Really not good enough.
