very bad signal , so bad that it is useless Xperia x Performance

i just purchased xperia x performance,.

and going from both experia z3+ and z5+ wich was great, the Performance have so bad antenna that i cant use indoor anywhere here in Oslo.any other phone works flawless indoor, but the performance have so bad signal that its ready to throw in the dumpster.

Can maybe the dev team look into this. Its very wierd that the older experia works , but not the new flagship that should be better than anything els.And i payed alot of money for it. 6500 NO kr almost 1000 $

And this is present since out of the box.

Any change that your devs would look into the baseband, and Nordic europe contries.

the difference from older phones(Experia) to  XPerformance is signifiant.Something must have gotten wrong

I know this may sounds like canned answers but you may have a defective device and ask Sony to inspect your device.

Silly question though, what model number is and where did you buy it?

Then can you take a screenshot of your Z3, Z5 and X or writing here the signal strength values from:

Settings > About Phone > Status

Thank you.

I am on the same boat. - From P800 P900 Z1 Z3 on tmobile no issues with signal now with my new, 2-month old Performance has nothing been but a nightmare. Bad signal is one of my issues I am experiencing.

It is impossible to use this phone.

Is this normal?

No this is not normal. There is something wrong with the software or the antenna. I'm not sure how this passed QA/QC, but I've not had a worse device for any cell (lte, 4g,3g,edge) and WiFi. I 'upgraded' from an HTC One M8, and in retrospect wish I wouldn't have.

I can't make or receive calls in areas that I would otherwise be able, datatransfers have skyrocketed because the system can't decide if WiFi works or not,.. The list goes on. (for the curious ones, I'm with Rogers in Canada)

Interestingly, the problem was made worse a few weeks back after a system update (I updated thinking that they'd have fixed the issues, instead made them worse).

I don't normally go riff on support forums, but then again, I pride myself on buying quality products so that I don't have to. . Clearly I've missed the boat with this device. . Sony, please fix this or refund my money.

Have the same experience.

On the second floor of my house the WiFi signal is minimal, on the third floor there is none.

Cellular signal strength (4G) looks worse then my previous Z3c or Z1c.

Lets hope Sony can solve this with by a software update.

i have similar issues.

I'm also with Rogers in Canada in the CGTA. Most of the time I have no network bars (LTE) at all.

Before I had a Samsung S5 and i had full bars most of the time.

I'll am on tmobile in the US and lte was horrible with 1 to no bars. What I'll found out is that we have to not use lte under network and choose the option wcdm which will make the icon h+. I'll get better signal for but it's very unfortunate that for some odd reason this model is having compatibility issues with major cell companies. Hope this help.

I'm in Thailand. It seems that the signal is weaker than my previouse LG G3.

For some reason the signal bars are easier with this phone than others when testing in the same spot
