VoLTE and how this phone does NOT work in the USA

When is Sony going to get this phone certified for VoLTE in the US with AT&T and (more importantly even) T-Mobile?

Both networks have pretty great coverage with their VoLTE band LTE network but absolutely rubbish coverage without.

The Xperia X Compact simply DOES NOT WORK AS A PHONE without VoLTE.

It is an atrocity and Sony should be ashamed for selling it in the US.

With a non-VoLTE phone you will have 0% coverage/reception while anybody else with a certified VoLTE phone will have the best coverage and reception in the world - literally 40Mbps+ up and down, while this phone can't even hold a GPRS connection (YES GPRS!!!!!! Not even EDGE!!!!!!!!!)

In one word: PATHETIC!!!!!

@coolVariable @camaro322hp I own a X Compact that used to work good in USA. Yep, read it well.. I said "used to".

In the past 3 months something happened to T-Mobile and all of a sudden the signal strenght lowered significantly. I contacted them and they advised me that they were doing some "updated" in their towers and that the signal was supposed to be recovered in the next few days. That never happened.

Now.. long story short, what device do you have? The US version or the International one? My US/North American devices are not suffering that much, my International ones instead are suffering.. but only with t-mobile. What I suspect it happened is that t-mobile started to use different LTE bands 3 months ago that are not availble in the international ones.

Longer story even shorter.. if you have the international version that may be the reason why your device with t-mobile is not working, if that is the case switching to another provider or turning off LTE altogether fix the issue but the phone will work only in H+
