Have had this phone for only a week and it has now completely crashed.
One night while browsing messenger the phone froze completely. I couldn't even turn it off. Though I didn't try the power+volup since I didn't know that was a thing at the time.
After going to bed and waiting over night for the phone to die I charged it up but now it won't turn on or reboot. Have had it on charge for hours now so that shouldn't be the issue. Attempted an Xperia Companion software repair but that wanted it to turn on to repair it so couldn't continue with that.
Any ideas?
Hi @Rainbows,
I'm very sorry to hear this.
First I'd recommend that you try to force restart your device (volume up + on/off key for 120 seconds). Then try charging your device, note that it can take over 30 minutes before your device will even indicate that it is charging.
I would also recommend you to temporarily remove any SIM and SD card you may have in your device to see if they may be causing this behavior.
Keep me posted on how it goes.
Attempted a force restart both with SIM in and out. Nothing appeared to happen either time. Also noticed that when plugged into my laptop the laptop doesn't notice anything attached if that means anything.
Then I recommend that you contact your Local support for assistance with how to proceed to have your device repaired.
Your local support can also assist you with any questions you may have regarding service procedures and warranty coverage you may have.
