It's been over a year with a Sony Xperia X Performance with a cracked screen and Sony's statement of "quickly working on a repair center" is a lie. I've contacted them monthly for help on repair options and there aren't any.
In this case, Sony has no repair center in the United States and will not help. Sony will not repair any smartphone in the US (they avoid even stuff covered in warranty like a broken headphone jack).
There aren't any United States repair options for this while competitors like Apple and Samsung have repair options. Competitors profit off of this but why can't Sony have a mail in then send back option? (even if it's overseas?)
At this point it's the real question of why bother buying Sony Xperia products if they have no support for their phones besides "buy a new one"?
What makes or breaks a product is the support and Sony has none. How long am I supposed to "wait" for a mythical support for something that will never happen (older ones and even newer models lack any support options as well).
And the statement that there's third party options is a lie. There are none, no options for repairs and then you're stuck looking at over sea options, buying products from companies that are questionable to fix it yourself or just "buy a new one"
Why is there no support in the United States?
