X Compact Regional Lock

Hi,

i was considering buying the Xperia X Compact when i came upon this "regional lock"(not sim lock) concept. I´ve mostly, if not only, found it associated to Samsung Galaxy S phones, but i was wondering if it could also apply to Sony Xperia . Does it depend on the phone/product? Since it´s kind of a dealbreaker for me, i must know!

im not sure what regional lock means for samsung devices. but as far as I am aware. regional differences are present in Xperia Devices. this is mainly for rolling out updates.  there a few differences when using devices brought from other countries like,, disabled fingerprint functionality for Xperia devices brought from USA, or different network bands for others.
