Xperia ZX2 compact Sony Email app not syncing properly
Hi there,
The Sony Email app (ie the one that comes preinstalled) isn't syncing properly. I've set the Check Frequency to Push for both Off-peak and On-peak but there are times when emails don't come through unless I manually refresh.
Stamina mode is off and I'm using the Microsoft Outlook app for work emails and that's working fine. Any thoughts?

@HassHassan this was something that I have experienced in the past on different devices, however I cannot say what exactly caused the issue.
Did you try to reset the app and clear data and set it up from the beginning?
Do you have a stable internet connection?

Thank you for your reply. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to reply to you. Ironically I didn't get the reply!
I do have a fairly stable internet connection. I'll give the app reset a go.
I have also experienced this issue on the Gmail app as well as the Email app which makes me think it's an OS issue.

have you checked if all permissions for the app is approved? try to remove and re add your email address to the app

@_alexdon_I Removed the account, cleared the storage and cache and set it up again. Set the Check Frequency to Push. Set the app permissions to allow on all.
So far it seems to be ok (It can still take 5 minutes for messages to come through, but that's better than not at all). I'll need more time for a definite answer as there were times when the app was ok.
One thing I have noticed is that "Mark as Read" has disappeared from the locked screen notification. This was one of the main reasons that I use this app over other apps. 😞

@HassHassan I am not using the app anymore due to the same reasons and problems you are encountering now. But please keep us updated about the behavior.

Hey, I am now having issues with the pre installed email/EAS as it will no longer sync and have lost my contacts....was working fine up till around 7pm last night. Anyone else having issues? Is there a fix? Thanks

Hi, try clearing the app's cache and data, from Settings >>> apps and notifications >>> choose the app >>> Storage >> Clear 'em all.
