I forgot my phone password! I used my Sony Xperia Z1 Compact for many years, but once its battery suddenly increased in size and tore off the back cover. I was very scared. Later, I bought myself a new phone, without worrying about saving the password of the old phone. Just a couple of weeks ago, I decided to change the battery in my old phone. But I don’t remember the password at all. I tried to open access to it in various ways, but this did not lead to the desired result. Please advise a way to unlock the smartphone.
P.S.
I do not speak English, so I use a translator. I hope you understand what I wrote here.
Hi @Mr_Arn, welcome to our forum!
If you can't remember the password you will need to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion.
This will delete all data stored on the internal storage and reinstall the latest available software, which will remove the screen lock, but also your personal data, but there are no other ways around it.
If you need guidance in your local language, you can always get in touch with your Local support team on the link below and select your country in the drop down menu.
Let me know if that helps and don't worry about the translation, it worked just fine!
