mounting to mac/jriver media center

Hey when i plug my z5 into my mac it only shows up in the finder named "remote disc" next to a CD icon. if i click on it it is empty inside. Bridge for mac and android file transfer will both recognize my phone. When i go into Jriver and try to add it to the device list, it doest show up.

has anyone synced a sony phone to jriver on a mac?

ok just installed xc. didnt help either. it said all my software was up to date as well. jriver should be able to reconize the phone like itunes would with an iphone. is there some driver out there that my mac might need?

Based on what an administrator wrote on the Jriver support forum here, i'm afraid it sounds like Jriver doesn't support MTP-devices which your phone works as.
