Do you know how the contacts were saved in your device? If you had them saved as Google contacts, you can try and recover/recreate them on the link below, just make sure that you log in with the same Google account that you have in your device.

If you only had them saved as device contacts and you have not backed them up, there is unfortunately no way to recover them since when you delete something in Android, it's deleted.
