Since I installed the last update people have been saying how poor the call quality is at their end.

To test it was the phone and not the network I put my sim in my iPhone 5s and used that for a week and had no complaints.

I ran the repair utility and then put my sim back in the Xperia Z2 to test it out. Upon inserting the Sim, the phone restarts but never detects that there is a sim in the handset. If i remove it, it says sim removed, restarting etc but never detects that the sim is in the phone.

The Sim is fine as it is back in theiPhone 5s and working. I had to use an adapter for the sim and i'm starting to think it may have damaged the inside of the sim tray.

Any one had any similar problems?

Wow same exact issue here on my Z2. I have sent my phone in and a month later with NO CONTACT they sent me the phone UNREPAIRED with a sympothy letter saying that the phone is un-repairable and it is considered CUSTOMER ABUSE?! For inserting a simcard?! They also said my warranty is now voided. I called a sony superadvisor and he told me the same thing and my new phone is un-repairable and there is NOTHING I CAN DO! He said Sony cant do anything. Does Sony even care about their customers? I just now contacting Mr. Gary Acors conserning this issue hoping he can do something since it sounds he has been good luck to some people with this issue. Hopefully my issue is resolved as well .
