Hi there,
Having a quite weird and annoying issue at the moment. For some reason I'm not able to add my new Bravia with built-in Chromecast into a Google Speaker Group. No problems at all with my other Google Cast devices (Chromecast, Chromecast Audio). It is now just my brand new Android TV that is having this issue. Is it just me or someone else having the same case? Very annoying as looking to complete my plans of having full house multi room audio setup.

Hi Jari,
So I can look into this, can you let me know the full model number of your TV?
Best wishes,
Sean Mc
Thanks! Model is KD-65XF9005.

It used to be that only Google speakers and Chromecast Audios could be added to speaker groups, then last year they added the ability for certain Chromecasts to be added too. It's not supported by all Chromecast devices, including Android TV's "Chromecast Built-in".
You wont be able to do what you're after. This is down to Google I'm afraid.
Well in that case ("This is down to Google I'm afraid.") this starts to be quite weird as just got a msg from Google product expert as follows:
"

What's the situation with this one Sony?

Hi jarisiv,
What is the model number of the TV?

Hi,
Thanks. Are you able to check couple posts above?
BR, Jari
Hi Jari,
I'd recommend checking the Chrome Cast Built-in version by following these steps: Press on Home- Settings - Apps - Chromecast Built-in. You can check with Google if this version is compatible with the Google speaker group function or not.

Hi,
Chromecast Buil-In version is 1.36.140076.
Is that the latest one?
