Hi Folks
I am on my 6 or 7th Sony phone at this stage and now I am on the Xperia 1, however,
during calls, all of a sudden I would realise that the other party cannot hear me, not EVERY call but maybe 50% of them.
I thought it was faulty and was going to send it back but I reinstalled the software and ended up keeping it but it happened again and again since.I then thought maybe I was muting the call with my cheek , but now when it happens I haved noticed the "drop down" blue/white screen is present (where it says "turn speaker on" etc) during the muting as if I was about to multi task while on the call, if I catch it in time and end this "multi tasking" option during the call , I can retrieve the conversation, however most of the time people have already hung up at this stage, any ideas please?
I keep changing how I hold the phone to see if I get longer out of the calls, or maybe it's the proximity sensor acting up?
Thank you in advance.
Chris
I have the same problem, byt it will never work, need to have my headset in if i wanna speak with someone
Tbh... I stopped using the built-in phone app since long time. I'm using Truecaller app to make phone calls. Much faster and plenty of other options....
Can you try it and confirm if the issue persists ?
Hi, I've discovered that when "multi tasking" during a call, it cuts out the microphone.
The proximity sensor maybe too sensitive, you can notice this while on a call whilst looking in the mirror, also,
If you call someone in the next room and drag down the top menu, I noticed that is when it cuts off the microphone.
Ideally if we could change the screen icons while on a call it would solve this also, as muting a call with your cheek seems to happen too.
Frustrating to say the least.
I've got my phone for 1 week and have the same issue. The mic failed 3 times during outgoing call, for incoming call twice. The last time I received a call, I've tried to turn on the handsfree option so the caller could hear me when I disabled it, I couldn't be heard.
