Xperia home

Hi, does anyone knows how to select your main (home) screen among different screens? Why it is not possible to select main screen? Why it is not possible to add new screens to the left side?

Why sony messed up xperia home???

No such fundamental options...

@azzido2  most likely, you need to remove google feed first and then you can set the home screen. Otherwise, always the home screen will be the first one to the right after google feed.

Hi alexdon, I removed google feed and still see no option to select the particular window to be the main one (home screen) or add new ones to the left hand side. Can you please provide more details on how you do this ideally with screenshots? Really, I do not see such an option.

With the 1, the leftmost home panel is the default home panel, I do not think it can be changed.

To create new panels, drag any Icon on the home screen or other screens to the right until the new panel is created.

I stand corrected then, thanks @Viridis , I thought the old possibility was still enabled.

Can you guys pass this information internally? Such a basic option to select default home page or add new ones to the left side should be enabled. This should be the strenght of Android. Power of customization as per user wish, no silly limitations please.

Of course.

I checked the manual.

None of this is mentioned there.

This minimalistic rebuild of the home screen that the Google engeneers have constructed either is inspired by some deeper insight of how the user experience can be enhanced (which is not the case) or is another example of programmers working in their own hemisphere being completely unaware of normal human beings' behaviour.

How on earth can someone guess that the only way to add a next home screen is by dragging an icon to the side of the screen.

Good software is logic, intuitive and is always explained in a manual that covers all aspects.

Google changed that over a year ago, as it's one of the least used features, no plans to change it back, and it caused more issues than solutions as users had complained that twin touch/shrink, caused used to move their own home screen, almost akin to icons moving on their own.

That's according to their hub info page, nothing to do with Sony "messing up".
