Can't take photos, red light flashes on the front? NEX 3N

Hi!

I have a Sony NEX 3N, I've had it for a few months and never had a problem with it until now. When I try to take a photo, the red light on the front of the camera start flashing and my camera won't take the photo. I'm able to film with it and I've tried to change battery and memory card and stuff like that but it won't work.

I'm not a professional with cameras and this has never happened before. Hopefully you might be able to help me out!

I dont know initially what this issue is. my initial guess is maybe you've turned it on to the 10sec timer ? in shooting mode. 

i'll have a play on my Nex when i get home to see if i can emulate your issue
