Digital Photo Frame

I have had for a number of years a DPF-D70 photo frame I want to connect it to the PC via USB but the PC when reconising the external drive is asking to format it! should I do this? Or am I missing somthing, any help or advice would be grateful

If you have already put photos on the frame in the past, formatting it will erase this data which is only something that you should do if you have another copy of them backed up.

Having said that, it shouldn't be asking you to format it unless there has been an error on the frame and the data is corrupted in some way. My advice would really depend upon whether you already have pictures on there or not so please let me know.

Thanks for your infomation, I do have photos stored on the device.

My intention was to back the the device up hence the reason why I want to connect directly to the PC

If I have to formate the device will this not erase any system firmware?
