flash for nex-6

looking for a not too big external flash for the nex-6 -- any ideasa?

Hello canach2012 - Welcome to the Sony Forums

As this is naturally a compact camera, you may find that attaching an external flash makes the whole setup a little 'top heavy.' Having said all of this, the camera does have a standard hot shoe, meaning that it will be compatible with a variety of lenses (in some cases, an adapter will be required). The HVL-F20 flash is around £100:

For this particular flash, you will also need to purchase an ADP-MAA adapter. These are available online for around £20-£25.

UPS, this can be confusing as there are actually 3 different HVL-F20 around:

• HVL-F20S is not compatible with the NEX-6 as it features the smart accessory terminal.
  
• HVL-F20AM is compatible but the ADP-MAA adapter is required
  
• HVL-F20M is compatible and already features the right Mulit Interface shoe for the NEX-6
