My a99 only shows 10MP maximum?

My sony A99 only shows 10 megapixels as a maximum resolution. Why is this and how can I increase it ?

You probably have an APS-C (DT) lens on it!

That appears to be it!! It is 24 with another lens.

Is there anything I can do other than buy another lens?

Hi and sorry for my late reply... It was by coincidence I got here, I usually don't have a look in the UK forum 😉

With a aps-c lens, you have 10MP. Not much to do about it. Aps-c lenses have a 'dt' designation on the lens or on  the box. You need full frame lenses. They don't have a special naming. Have a look on the Sony website, make sure you look at A-Mount lenses and full frame. No dt-lenses!
