no capture through firewire

help. i have a hdr fx1000 and a DCR VX2000 camera and neither one is being read by adobe premiere cs5.5 i am using win 7. yes i have changed the firewire to legacy. i also tried my hvr m15au hd deck . same thing no read.what could the problem be. premeire? win7 , sony? or?

How exactly are you doing it? What I usually do is I turn on my VX2000 first, then connect it to your computer. Then load the Adobe Premier software. It should work by doing this steps.

To concur with what nimbystripes has said, this is usually the sequence that I use to get Firewire cameras to be recognised by my PC so hopefully this will also be successful for you.
