pictures copied from Sony NEX5R to computer are set to read only. How to change settings ?  I can not even to rrotate them

The images that have been copied to your computer should not have any kind of restriction attached to them. What software are you using for reading/editing?

Having just done my first wireless download from my 5R, I haven't had this problem. I've succesfully edited downloaded photos using Sony's own Playmemories editor, and also my normal Photoshop Elements 11 editor. The wireless download was from my 5R to a Windows 8 laptop. I have had other problems, but I'll post separately about these.
