Playmemories install on Windows 10

Hi,

I just received an ILCE 5100 camera as a Christmas gift. Trying to install Playmemories 5.0.03 on my Acer laptop with Windows 10. It fails to complete the install, giving the following message:

Cannot continue the Playmemories Home installation because MergeModule_x86.msi installation failed. Try installing Playmemories Home again

Anyone got a solution for this? Trying another install only leads to the same message again, no matter how often I try.

No it doesn't help with Windows 10. The problem is because it is trying to install a browser extension and the default Edge browser does not work with extensions. You have to use IE11 to have any chance of getting it to work. But this is not straight forward as Microsoft will always default to opening Edge whenever a link is opened.
