Remote for A37

Hi,

Can someone please help me find out what sort of remote I can get for my A37 please? The last thread about this had two conflicting replies so now I'm not sure what to try and buy. The Sony web site doesn't say what is compatible with the A37. Would one compatible with the A35 be ok as I have seen some cheaper third party ones on Amazon.

In this instance, if the third party remote confirms that it is compatible with the A37, it may be better to choose that one - especially if the price is right. The Maxsima remote may be exactly what you are looking for at a good price, and the existing review is pretty favourable:

Thanks very much for the information and yes that one says it is compatible with my camera. 

Forgive my ignorance about this, I'm very new to the world of photography! 

Does my camera have an IR sensor built in?  I thought I would have to get a wired one?

If you take a look at the grip on the camera body, you should see that an IR sensor is built-in to this area. With regards to the third-party remote that I mentioned before, I would always recommend getting in touch with the third-party manufacturer to confirm that it is truly compatible with the A37 - their contact form appears to be on the following page:
