Sony DSLT A100 - not wanting to play anymore

I have a Sony DSLR A100 which is being tempramental.  Pressing the menu button produces nothing.  It is not displaying pictures stored or taken after initial image.  It won't focus unless I set it the shot when camer is off and then switch it on however it won't focus at all on anything really small that require close-up.

Someone suggested I might be able to try resetting it but so far have not found out how to do this - help please:smileyconfused:

Unfortunately, the procedure to return this camera to its factory settings involves getting into the menu which you have said you cannot access when pressing the 'Menu' button. Have you tried removing the battery from the camera, leaving it for 5-10 minutes and then putting the battery back in?
