Bravia 8 mii

Hi,

 

I've brought a new Bravia 8 mii and was looking buy to an extended warranty, however I can't seem to find where to purchase this from as the chat service says to go to my retailer who I brought it from. I bought the TV directly through Sony UK and can't find anywhere on the website on how to purchase or how much warranty I currently have. When checking the "Warranty Checker" it doesn't recognise my Serial number for the TV. Any guidance gratefully received.

As you bought it from the Sony Store I would enquire with them about your warranty and extended warranty.

If you bought it direct from Sony it will have a one year warranty.

Only some Sony TVs are eligible for the 5 year warranty.

If your TV is available for a five year warranty through Sony you need to check through the Sony warranty checker here,

Click on the Check Eligibility button to see if your TV is included.

You need the full model number of your TV and its Serial number which you can confirm by looking through the TVs Settings menu. You will also need your purchase details.

 

Try Settings> Help & Feedback> Help> Status & Diagnostics> System Information.

 

The above is how I get to the Serial number of my Sony TV, for yours it may be slightly different

as mine is a slightly older model but may get you on the right track.
