Home button not working on KDL-49wd75x

My 82 year old mum has had her tv just over a year. The home button no longer allows access to apps so she can’t get iplayer etc. I’ve changed the batteries, switched everything off and on again but this hasn’t solved it (the tv is registering the button when I press it). Any ideas please before trying a factory reset???

I followed the step in Sony replay and it been solved.
