So i've had this TV for nearly a year - i've put up with the various bugs but now my Sky Q box had had the update for UHD i tried to change the resolution last night to enable 4K.
When i activate 4K resolution, i either get no picture or it gives me a split double screen (think 3D) wqith interference on it.
I've emailed Sony and they have just told me:
"please note that the TV supports the 4K resolution 2160p with 24fps not 50/60fps so the TV will not display the maximum resolution from the Sky Q box."
So basically this TV is unable to receive broadcast TV via Sky Q, which was my primary reason for buying a 4K TV??

Hi
Just to update this, changing the HDMI cable to a high speed one has worked.
Thanks for the advice guys. Far more competent than Sony support who were only interested in me factory resetting the box (again)

Is your TV listed on Sony's support page about this fault, see http://sony-eur-eu-en-web--eur.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/133958

A bit worrying if Sony are changing their message on this. Are 2015 / 2016 Sony TVs compatible with 50fps UHD or not?

Yes, i'm aware of that issue, but this isnt a slight judder, it simply doesnt work at all....
More concerning is that Sony tech support tels me this 4k TV isnt going to work with Sky Q!

@GremlinUK, your TV is listed as being compatible with the BT UHD box, which uses the same HDMI signal format as the Sky Q box, so it should work okay.
Find your TV on the list at http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/53069/~/ultra-hd---tv-compatibility-and-hdmi-port-set...
As Quinnicus says, worth checking the HDMI lead. The one supplied with Sky Q is a HIGH SPEED one so is suitable.
