Sony Bravia KD43XF8096BU not working :-(

24th December TV remote became unresponsive would not work, did the remote fix thing still no joy, thought I would try unplugging and plugging it back in so that the TV would reboot,  wrong move all I had was a black screen nothing, no standby light, after much checking of power lead plugging in in an out of different sockets it eventually rebooted and all was well, picture back and remote working as normal.  Till the next morning the standby light was out again and the TV not powering up, found a neighbour with the same set tried his power lead still no power.

Probably going to have to contact Sony as TV still under warranty but thought I would try on here encase there was a simple fix?

Turns out, this is a huge problem for SONY TVs (which I will never buy again)

This is just a band-aid fix, and your TV will probably screw up again. Mine did. SONY basically told me I was out of luck and denied anyone else has this problem. I feel like there needs to be a class-action lawsuit.

If you've tried different power sockets and power lead and no change that it looks like a TV fault unfortunately, when it works could you go into the menus to perform a factory reset to set it back to as new condition in case there's some software glitch?

Thank you and for your response,  your problem and mine have the same symptoms, like you I will not buy a Sony again.

A wee push for Amazon, they are going to refund me when I return my dead TV to them, now that's good service.
