That doesn't sound good. What is the full model number of your TV (it will start with KD). Have you tried unplugging it and leaving it off for at least 5 minutes. Disconnect everything from all ports (HDMI, USB etc.) and turn it back on.
Edit: sorry I didn't see your second post. You need to check your paperwork to see if the TV came with a 5 year warranty. If not I'm afraid it is just one year. We are all users like you, so your guess as to when the support desk will be open are as good as everyone else.
