HI i have bouth a Vpl HS50 recently. i set it up and the ratio is wrong i found the manuel online and it shows me that i have to go to Menu>signal>widemode and configurat it there but when i go in to the menu and go so signal the widemode tab is not there and the last owner didnt have the remote soo i was wondering if anyone has any good solutions to this problem. i have a cellphone with ir that i can use as a remote but i cant find the ir code for the widemode button any where.

Hi there

There arnt any remote codes for this remote (well none that are published anyhow).

You could purchase the actual remote control.  But at £92, its a bit steep in my opinion.

What worries me though is why you do noy have the Widemode option in the signal menu.  Can you just confirm this again?

Yeah I can take some pics and post them tomorrow after work. I can only
adjust the pictures up\down\left\right with in the screen but cuts off
large parts and of the screen soo I don't really know how to fix it. I used
nvidia custom rez tool to make the howl pic fit on screen but there are
some pretty large out lines around the howl screen.
