Hello! So I have Sony Xperia S on Android 4.1.2 and from yesterday till now, my phone is stuck on headphones mode even if the headphones are not plugged into the phone. I tried restarting the phone, plugging the headphones on and off several times, but there is no effect. So should I look for professional help or there is somethink I can do to fix it? (I`m from Lom, Montana, Bulgaria.)

First of all I suggest that you blow in the headphone contact to remove any kind of dirt or etc.
Also try to connect and disconnect the headset while music is playing from the Walkman player. Restart the phone by press and hold the power button and volume up at the same time.
If you still experience problem I suggest that you repair the phone software using PC Companion:
http://www.sonymobile.com/update
In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phones software > "Repair phone".

I have the same problem. I've tried to connect and disconnect the headphones. And I've tried both repair and reset the phone in Pc companion. I've even tried to remove the plug on top of the phone (removed the small screws under the cover), the phone still says that headphones is connected.
Any solution proposals?

Good morning:
Happens to me the following, very interesting:
- If the phone has a version less than or equal to 2.3.7 the phone works perfectly.
- When we put the phone up to version 2.3.7 the phone stops working.
I've tried with many versions, with some I get a window with the following message: "the accessory's microphone and buttons are not available", with other versions I get this error message, but when I go to try some handset (making call) not work.
The first time I see this error.
Someone will happen?
I await your answers, THANKS

Had the same problem. Put my headphones back in, started my music player, yanked out the headphones, and continued with the song. That fixed it. Hope you get yours fixed

Then!
I found an app called "soundabout" It lets you re route the audio from all apps, i.e walkman, phone calls, ringtones.. Etc...
So, my phone still thinks headphones are in but phone calls come through the earpiece.. And you can change this back should you wish to listen to music via. Headphones... Great app!! Hope this helps someone!

Thanks Dakat33...
"SoundAbout" really does the job.
The only thing that we have to do is to manually select the audio output device (i.e., Speaker, Earpiece or Headphones) every time.
I've tried all other methods but none of them work.
The people from Sony told me that I'd have to buy another phone (only Z-series phone) for which they'll give me a 20% discount.(Bullsh*t) :'(
SoundAbout is the best solution for this problem.
