My phone died during update even though the battery was fully charged,
I followed all the update instructions and when instructed to connect to pc and hold volume an error caused the phone to switch off.
I have plugged it into mains charger for 3 hours and still will not switch on or boot.
I followed steps in the forum downloaded SUS but when I plug the phone in nothing happens.
the program keeps telling me to plug in USB to pC and into phone while holding volume knob but nothing happens.
Any help is appreciated.

If the phone still doesn't power on I'd recommend sending your handset for service so it can be examined. Repair details can be obtained by contacting your local support team directly. You can find contact details here: http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
try this
connect your phone to a wall charger > press and hold Power and Volume UP for 8 seconds > let your phone charge for 1 hour > AFTER 1 hour > try to turn it back on or repair it with SUS

Thanx
It's working again.
Tried all the buttons and nothing happened, so I called it a piece of crap an chucked it down and the light came on.
S now it works.
It still hasn't updated but remained in the same state as b4.
So I'm going to have to go through this again
Do other smartphones also need to connect to PC for update?
I know iPhone does it via 3G.
A much simpler and effective way.
Some updates are available via WiFi, if you were to go into menu > settings > about phone > software update. If the update is able to be completed over WiFi then it would let you do this from there. If not then you would need to use a PC to complete the process
Please send me the process of how you fix your mobile
