Incoming call - no alert (no sound) - only vibrate works

Incoming call: no alert  - After upgrade to Kernel 3.0.08+  build 6.1.1.B.1.54 incoming calls don't give any sound. I can manage to get the 'Vibrte on Ring' working but no alert sound ! Hence I miss many incoming calls. Silent mode = 'Off' Please help.

If I select a different ringtone using Sound Picker - the 'music' doesn't play neither.

Same problem here... with in 3 month i updted the software 4 times.. last week i get my mobile from service center they have told that speaker nd mike problem we changed like that.... again problem now.... even after restart also its not recovered... please dont suggest this sony mobile product to others.... this is the first o came to sony products its a worst experience....

I have the same problem after I have selected my own tune in Set Up - Notifications & Sound.  Strangely, calls from land lines didn't ring, no matter whether I have set special ringtone for the contact or not, but calls from mobile phones did ring.

However, it worked again after I did the following, which you can try:

Go to the Music app instead of Set Up, pick a tune you want, select Set As Ringtone.  After that, all calls ring!

I am using Sony Xperia z3, even I faced the same issue after upgrading to Android 6.0.1.

First what I did is in settings-->sound & notification-->phone ringtone and selected a song , but it didnot work.

So , I went to music app and selected a song and set as ringtone .... it worked.

I don't know the root cause but anyway now I am getting sound for incoming calls.

I dont what happened ,just this morning I found out that there was no incoming call sound.please help me.
