J105a: Can't set up SMS delivery acknowledgements

I can't find settings for switching on acknowledgements on SMS delivery. Please help!

If you don't have the "delivery report" option in your message settings, then unfortunately you can't get delivery acknowledgements.

menu>messaging>settings.  Here you can find delivery report and turn it on.

i'd never used it so i told you it was like this in my first ever phone j100i,which i used almost 5 five years ago.

Unfortunately, this menu item is not present in J105a. What I have is Menu -> Messages -> Messages -> Settings but there is no way to set up delivery reports from there. Thanks for your help anyway!

Thanks, that's probably true! Let's wait for other folks for a while - perhaps someone would get an idea...

can you please tell me which menu items are there in your "settings" of messaging menu?

Hi!

Well, there are 3 tabs in there:

1 tab (Message settings):

Message Alert (which stands for message alert melody)

Save to

Categories

Signature

Picture resolution

Auto download

Accept messages (which allows to accept advertisements and anonymous messages)

Voicemail number

2 tab (Area info):

Subscriptions

Reception (On/Off - On in my case)

Language

Cell information (On/Off - On in my case)

3 tab (Push):

Allow push msg (Always in my case)

Accept msg from (All senders)

As you see, there is nothing about delivery reports...

I am inclined to agree with DrChris that turning on delivery reports is not possible on my phone. Well, at least through the provided UI... Therefore, marking his answer as correct.
