phone keeps going into silent mode

my xperia mini pro is only a month old and driving me mad. It sometimes goes into silent mode. You untick the box in settings and then a day or two later goes back again. Really annoying as you miss all your calls and texts.

I have seen other people in different forums have the same problem, but never say how it is fixed. Please can anyone help

are you pressing by accident inadvertently the volume keys ? or if you have a protective case that might be too tight, or if it's ringing and you press the volume keys it will silence the alarm/notification or which seems to happen often, if you leave your phone on your pocket it might slide the volume key on the lockscreen w/o you noticing, thus leaving your phone on silence mode

Hi Thanks actually just figured out what it is. There is a bar  on the screen you have drag to the right to unlock the phone if you drag it slighly to the left it silents the phone. What a stupid thing to have as it keep happening in my pocket all the time by the looks of it. Wonder if there is a way of getting rid of the bar or stopping this. Seems to be a prob loads of people are having . Thanks for your reply

yes there is a way to do that, and to add other widgets to the lockscreen, remember that all Androids have this feature, some users don't like it some others do, but at the end you can customize this phone as you please :smileygrin:
