I updated my phone to 12.1.A.0.266 a few weeks ago through wifi when Sony released it officially. And now my phone keeps restarting. It doesn't even reach the home screen. Factory reset(under the back panel) and any hard or soft reset doesn't work.
It all started after I updated the phone to the new firmware. The new UI was slow and laggy. Sometimes when I used to pick up the phone speaker used to be switched on.
From a few days, the volume on the screen just showed a horizontal bar and not the actual volume UI.
3-4 days ago Chrome crashed and 2 days ago Google search and Google now crashed. I installed Amazon kindle app for Android last night but that too crashed in the morning.
And from afternoon, the phone itself crashed.
How do I get my phone back to life?
Hi Raptor3624
>I believe you must put the phone to safe mode, try to repairing the phone using different computer with high speed broadband(not Wifi), same happened to me when i used WiFi later, i repaired phone using Cable internet, it fixed my issue along with some other too;)

Rate me(Kudos) If you are happy with my Resolution, Thanks
Hi Manjuboyz, Thanks for replying.
I didn't understand. You mean to say I had put the phone on 'Safe mode' while updating the firmware or you are saying it's in safe mode now?
I had updated the firmware earlier on wifi. Do you mean I should have done it using USB cable with Sony PC companion or something?
@Raptor3624,
Connect the phone to a wall charger > Press and hold "Power Button" and "Volume Up" at same time for 10 seconds( 3 vibrates) or press and hold OFF Button (using a pen) at the same time for 10 seconds(3 vibrates) > Charge it for 1 hr > Repair the phone software using Sony Update Service.
NOTE: Make sure that your phone is completely turned off before performing a software repair with SUS.
Cheers.
I have tried Power+Volume down and Power+Volume down+Camera. Both just restart when plugged to USb and Off it, and the same SONY logo->XPERIA logo->Colourful graphics loop happens.
Nevertheless, Thanks. Let me try your suggestionand get back to you.
Keep us updated.
I tried both ways that you mentioned. No effect whatsoever. Not even 1 vibration. Phone is completely discharged. SHould I charge it a little first?
Yes, You have to charge the phone for 2 hrs and then repair it with SUS.
