Why Sony made crazy white background for Messaging... ?

Hi all,

I really want to know why Sony change that beauty dark backgrounds for Messaging and Contacts and Phone and turned to White!!! on new update for 4.1.2 Andriod? its really shocking for our eyes!!!

All environments of Sony S are dark and totally set with Black frame of Sony S.

I agree with alex_ncfc that said we can live with it, but if we trust on a company they should try to make the things more comfort or even put setting for choose themes.

For example we can use GoSMS for having better design on messaging area but it will take more memory and process from our cellphone beside we have no choice for Call and Contact sections. So i suggest to sony for changing back those parts designs on next updates or put option for selecting designs.

Hello, does anyone here know how to change white messages background in to dark one? After an upgrade it became white and it's really annoying. So is it possible to change it in to the dar background as it was before?

This white background is a feature in stock Jelly Bean and there is nothing you can do unless you root the phone and use customised ROM. Idea behind it is that black on white is visually better than white on black.

When I purchased this phone, I assumed it could be customised, as I have a visual impairement, & prefere the black background. I have always being able to customise this on previous models, without down grading, so I am a little dissapointed.

seems a rubbish setup i can almost watch my power go down minute by minute surely a black background would make battery life last a lot longer???
