Xperia ion hard bricked

Hi,

I need help with my xperia ion lt28h..

After installing a .zip (Smooth ion) through CWM Recovery, my phone restarted n booted up normally to the lock screen. After i unlocked the screen, it went blank so I pressed the power button and the normal power off button (and some others) appears, so i power off the phone and it went to a boot loop.

I tried pressing the Volume up + power button and connecting it to flashtool by pressing the volume down button and inserting the usbto flash a new firmware but nothing appeared on flashtool Slightly_frowning_Face

I tried the Volume up + power button again and again and still nothing.. I then pressed Volume up + power button again but longer and received 2 or 3 vibrations (i can't remember) and now the phone is just Dead. No Screen,No LED light, nothing :'(

I tried charging it for 2+ hours and tried connecting it to my pc to see if it does anything but apparently nothing happens.

Somebody please help me :'( This is my only phone and I have no other Slightly_frowning_Face

Pretty much happy to hear about it.

As I mentioned on the first page, it really takes a lot of time to charge when bricked.

Anyways patience was all you needed

Thanks for updating the thread.

1) don't worry ,just connect charger for full night even if the phone does not show LED

2)disconnect your phone ,if connected to PC .

3)start flash tool, click flash icon ,select flash mode, select flash file Fit start flash

4) when asked to connect phone in flash mode ,just connect phone without doing anything your phone will detect by flash tool and starts flashing the phone

Start flash tool without connecting phone to PC

after that it will ask to select flash file ,just select ,after that one window prompt to connect phone in flash mode ,

just connect phone to PC and sit back ,it will recover your phone

@Shree i left it charging ~2days
~30hrs no LED
~10hrs Blinking red
~2hrs solid red

then bootloop started

boot loop for aminute then it turns off i put it charging for 10 mints then bootloop starts,.. and so on

i try to flash when it's switched off flashtool doesnt detect it

also when i try to flash during bootloop  flashtool doesnt detect it.

so idk how to flash both ways my ion is not detected by flashtool Slightly_frowning_Face

Hi community, thought of posting a comment as it will be useful to someone.
I have hardbricked my Xperia Ion by mistakenly flashing an ICS recovery when running on JB. I lost all my hope but this thread was my lifesaver!
I charged the phone for 28+ hours & i can definitely say that was the best coma period I've yet experienced.
After the red light goes off i flashed the ftf & it showed battery was about to dead & i fully charged it. It was alive from the dead!
This was happend a month ago & thanks Nabeel & all the people who continued the thread.
Cheers!

Hi Nabeel,

My phone went to hard brick again! Slightly_frowning_Face

I've tried everything but now as I wait for it to get flashed ( With RubberBand Trick  and Red LED shows) the flashing won't start but the phone itself will start and go to a bootloop.. I got this at the Flashtool command
