Hi my gran purchased a xperia Xa1 about 6 months ago if that and she as put a pattern screen lock on it when she bought it and there's no Google acount on it.

Is there any way I can hard reset it without using xperia conpanion as I don't have a pc or laptop and it's such a shame it's a brand new phone she paid a lot a money for it to her anyway as she doesn't have much do Sony not a count for these type of mistakes she is 81yrs and it's put her of modern technology and phones all together and yesterday only just decided to tell me bless be grateful for any advice thank you

Hello @CooleyO,

as far as i know when you put in a screen pattern lock screen it would ask you to put in a pin or password as backup , this is usually triggered when you put in wrong patterns, im not sure how many times  tho.

try to call Sony Support to see if they could help you with the problem: GET IN TOUCH
