Anyone else have a yellow tint on their display?? I have it quite bad on the bottom of the display and both left and right hand edges of display running from top to bottom. Is it possible with a firmware update that this issue could be eliminated. J had read on one forum that ICS update SHOULD solve it. Something to do with the colour calibration. I have also heard that it could be to do with colour temperature of screen, or the glue that was used to put display together.
Any advice would be gladly appreciated as this is ruining my experience with this device.

Ah right, o2 do a 3 day repair turnaround or send a refurbished replacement, I don't think phones4u put any sort of formal time limit on their repairs, neither do Sony for that matter unless you get your case escalated. If you send it to Sony call the repair centre on 01233 619320 first to ensure they keep the component in stock for your repair.

i purchased sony xperia s on 10-03-2012 from qatar..i also faced the same yellow tint problem i given my mobile to service center in qatar.how long they take to repair my mobile????>....

As per normal it will take 3 days but that depends on the availability of the parts, how fast the service works.
Better coordinate with them from time to time.
I've got the same problem but I demanded for a replacement phone and lucky me, I got one.

currently i have given mobile for the repair only...if it takes more than a week time, shall i ask them for the replacement.

I purchased the phone in Malaysia.
I demanded for a replacement phone directly from the Sony Store where I purchased it from.
They were persuading me to do a repair (Sony Customer Service) but since they were not getting me the help I need I directly went to the store, explained to them that a repair is not an option for a brand new phone. Lucky me they gave me one.
This is a known issue so it's consumer's right to get a replacement phone.
You can contact your Consumer Entity like Business Bearue or if you have the like National Consumer Complaint Center .
Seek for help. As per update from other member it took them at least 3 weeks to do a repair especialy if no part is availble lucky you if the got a spare.
Mine is Qatar..and i dont know whether they have spares or not...
if it takes week time means i will definitely look for replacement.whether sony confirm that the replaced mobile doesnt face this problem in future..how about your replaced mobile???....
just now i send a message to know the status of the mobile no response from the service center...

I believe all SONY XPERIA S are made in China.
12W15 is the build.
Demand for a replacement.
You are entitled for it.
Its an LCD issue.

I just called sony service center and demanded an replacement for my mobile,they told me that they have to ask their technicians and will update me...but yet now no response...
I will keep updating you my status.
Is your new replaced mobile working good i mean without yellow tints?????
