Yellow tint

Anyone else have a yellow tint on their display?? I have it quite bad on the bottom of the display and both left and right hand edges of display running from top to bottom. Is it possible with a firmware update that this issue could be eliminated. J had read on one forum that ICS update SHOULD solve it. Something to do with the colour calibration. I have also heard that it could be to do with colour temperature of screen,  or the glue that was used to put display together.

Any advice would be gladly appreciated as this is ruining my experience with this device.

Just got an update from sony service center they accepted my demand but they saying that they have only white color mobile...

All i need is black color,so i just put my request that i want the black one,they saying in that case it takes long time...

I want the black one..why even sony service center cant provide me the exact replacement the black one??...

Guys, I have created one post titled, "Rubbish! Another flagship -Xperia Acro S- announced by Sony just 3 months after Xperia S???!".....

Like i said, Xperia S a 2012 flagship is all rubbish. We are really naive to believe the magical transparent antenna as promised by Sony!

glad that you got them to fix it...shouldn't be getting that yellow tint anymore since they've got screen replacements for us

In March 2012, I received from friends as a birthday present SONY XPERIA S,

purchased somewhere in France, proof of purchase that they are not saved.

I called SONY MOBILE local dealer (ISRAEL), with yellow-tinted display issues.

SONY Mobile announced a replacement screens \ phones with this problem.

A local dealer denied to fix it, because I do not have a receipt of purchase.

I sent email to sony support in France, and get the same answer. ( receipt of purchase)

   

1. Is this normal? without the receipt does not guarantee service?

I work for Lenovo , and we are approached by customers from all

over the world to obtain warranty service, without any receipts for presentation,

all in the database.

In addition, this phone was announced in March 2012, it's only 2 months!!!

 

2. There is the possibility to find out where the phone was purchased with IMEI or Serial Number to try to recover the purchase receipt.

The store it was purchased from will have a record of the sale with the imei number. I didn't have my purchase request and the store looked it up for me and sent the phone off for repair with the printed copy of the receipt.
