Yellow tint

Anyone else have a yellow tint on their display?? I have it quite bad on the bottom of the display and both left and right hand edges of display running from top to bottom. Is it possible with a firmware update that this issue could be eliminated. J had read on one forum that ICS update SHOULD solve it. Something to do with the colour calibration. I have also heard that it could be to do with colour temperature of screen,  or the glue that was used to put display together.

Any advice would be gladly appreciated as this is ruining my experience with this device.

Is there a definative response from Sony about this problem yet? I've had a repair booked, but held off sending it to Sony UK as so many people were complaining about long delays.

Can anyone share their expericences with a recent repair in the UK. Have they fixed it?

Had my 12W17 device for 3 weeks and still no sign of yellow tint, and the phone has reached 47 degrees on a few occasions now. The only thing I have had since having the phone is the yellow gradient at the bottom of display, which apparently is normal with this screen. On the whole I can live with that as it's not that bad at all. Overall the screen on this phone is much better than the four previous handsets that I had. No clouding when I pull down the notification bar, and no problem with this screen displaying greys with this phone either. At the moment I am a happy camper, just hope it stays that way.

I have those gradient yellowish tint also. Can live with it. Colors are good. Whites are white.

funny that I don't have that yellow gradient. When I go to service testing menu and choose Display, white colour is absolutely the same all over the screen...

I've got one Xperia S 12w15 cold screen colour, white is pure white, and another 12w20 with warm screen colour and yellow gradient at bottom, this one I returned to the seller. I don't know what to do, I want to buy more units, but I don't like this warm screen.

Yellow spot started showing yesterday itself.... I'm going for a replacement..

Is there any kind of guarantee by sony that this problem will not occur again on the replaced device?

Other users who already have replaced, are they getting the the same yellow tint again?

I've paid a lot, i was fooled by sony.

They are calling it an amazing display. None find it amazing. Yellow tint is disgusting.

the yellow gradation from the bottom, is it yellow tint or just the light from below?

and still there even at low temperature

Can't see much yellow on that picture. I also have yellow gradient from the bottom and doesn't get worse at higher temperatures. Only noticeable with white backgrounds.

I remember, Iphone 4(S) also had/have issues with yellow spots.
