Yellow tint

Anyone else have a yellow tint on their display?? I have it quite bad on the bottom of the display and both left and right hand edges of display running from top to bottom. Is it possible with a firmware update that this issue could be eliminated. J had read on one forum that ICS update SHOULD solve it. Something to do with the colour calibration. I have also heard that it could be to do with colour temperature of screen,  or the glue that was used to put display together.

Any advice would be gladly appreciated as this is ruining my experience with this device.

I'm sure others don't want this thread to go too off topic but-

The case just arrived in the post and there's not a lot wrong with it for £4, only thing is the transparent strip is covered at the back - I would recommend it Slightly_smiling_Face

I had read that some users who have used a case or such like, found that this is another way for their phone to overheat = yellow tint.  Hopefully, this will be not the case for those of us who have received or who are in the process of receiving their replacement handsets from Sony, and wish to use a case.

Steve, that should help test the screen at a higher temperature then, although I've been using the replacement in the conservatory today in the case and haven't noticed any problems so far.

Hey Ramin,

Sorry for only replying, I've been outside today enjoying the great weather Slightly_smiling_Face

The added bonus is the phone has been sitting out in the black case and managed to get pretty warm, good news is the screen still looks great despite the heat.

I also got a call from Sony this morning to make sure I had received the replacement and that everything was okay, which was nice - if only they had been this concerned from the start!

Mine is a 12W14 by the way.

Steve - did your replacement arrive today?

Hi 3eb,

Royal Mail tried delivering my phone at 11:30am this morning but I was out. Have asked them to deliver again on Friday when I will be at home for most of the day. I will of course give feedback when I have given the phone a stress test, and all being well I will report back with good news.
