I get the above error when using any of the catchup players on YouView. The message box pops up on my Bravia xe9005 even though i can see the player working in the backgound. If i reboot the tv by holding down the standby button for several secs then the players wok ok again until a few days later when the problem reoccurrs. Any ideas on the cause/solution?

Have you tried clearing the cache/data? You do this by going to:
[Home] > [Settings] > [TV] > [Apps] > [System Apps] > [YVServiceHost] > [Clear Cache] > [Clear Data]

I have same problem- seems like holding standby button down and restarting works, as does cleaning cache, but I have to do it everytime I want to watch, and the iplayer regularly crashes which necessitates this.
