Bad DLNA / mediaserver
WHY does Sony support less formats in their DLNA client than Samsung.
It makes me want a new TV, and it is not a Sony.

Easily fixable - download Serviio, our DLNA server of choice and it takes care of pretty much anything you throw at it..
Thanks

Samsung may support more formats, but it has other problems (e.g. like no FF/REW!). As Catmambo says, install a decent media server that transcodes your files and you don't have to worry about formats anyway. Servioo is good but my favourite is Mezzmo.

Thats just it. I have a ReadyNas DLNA server. The only files i can play from it is mpeg files. If the only box the tv came in says avi, divx and others . Then thats just not good enough, or is it just me?
