Dolby 5.1 surround sound on KDL 32D3000

Hi, does anyone know if the KDL 32D3000 outputs Dolby 5.1 surround from the optical output, assuming the signal is input through HDMI? can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere??

Hi,

optical cable carry 5.1 with out problems. I advice to set up S-FORCE front surround function  to ON, like on page 23
