Keep getting no signal message

When ever I turn the TV on after it has been off for a while certain channels say no signal so I have to do  Digital Retune which works but when I turn it on again later it has again lost it's signal.When I check I am getting the signal from Crystal Palace and not Heathfield and I am receiving channel 29 and not channel 40 the TV does not seem to to hold the signal.When I have retuned it to channel 40 why does it not stay there why does it change to channel 29.Any help appreciated.

I forgot to mention the TV is a Sony KDL-42W653A

This morning I turned the TV on and all the usual channels were showing no event information when I went into the program guide.When I select one of these TV stations and go into system they all show channel 29 which I cannot watch.So then I do a digital re-tune and it finds all the correct channels.If the TV is off for some time when I turn it back on it goes back to showing channel 29 again for these particular TV stations.It seems it is not storing these channels.I even plugged the aerial lead directly into the TV but id did not make any difference.

I'm not sure if this will need a fix from the TV's side or the aerial's side. But you can try to first update the TV to the latest software using this link: https://bit.ly/2NjRXvl. Also you can try to reset the TV to factory settings from the "General Settings" menu.

Try manual tuning instead of auto tuning and select the channel you're seeking.

It would be useful after that to reach out for an aerial technician to see if he can work this out.

I have tried doing a manual retune and selected channel 40 but how do I save it so it stays as channel 40.I did a digital retune at 1.15 and every TV station that did show as channel 40.Have just turned it back on and they are now showing as channel 29 again.Can I do a manual search one station at a time.

Hi muffin1947,

I don't think there is a way to manual tune for one station only, I'd recommend checking first with an aerial technician, and if necessary, you can check the TV with the nearest Sony service centre from you to check if there is anything wrong with the tuner in the TV.
