PC to TV via VGA

I'm trying to connect my laptop to my Bravia TV using a VGA to VGA cable. My laptop knows something is going on but the PC tab in the TV menu is still greyed out. Can anyone help?

most laptops will have a key to toggle between laptop/external/both screen outputs.

You might also have to go to control panel/display and mess with the settings.

Klick on Your typ of grafic card on link, scroll down and follow proper connections step. For sound use 3,5 mm audio chinch from pc to tv.
