Sony Remote Control RM-ED053......

Since I did a factory reset two days ago I have had a problem with my remote control.Before when I pressed the program up or down buttons I could change the channels but now when I press it I just get a list of programs how do I get it back to how it was.

Apologies but I do not know where RM-ED053 CAME FROM please ignore it and I forgot to say the TV is a KDL-42W653A
