streaming content to SMP-N100 over wi-fi

i was under the impression i could play files from my mac to the SMP box over wi-fi. further reading tells me that i can play them only if i have a server, which the SMP connects to.

is this correct?

Did you have any success with this? I am having the same problem. Want to stream files from my macbook to SMP-N100.

Haven't found much in my search so far.

Guys - just install Serviio on your computers http://www.serviio.org/, tell it where your media is and it will share it with the SMP
